Q

What if I want to search within a LibGuide, but I need to keep the URL private?

We are creating a libguide that will contain internal information for our staff and librarians. I need it to be searchable, but I don't want the URL to be public. Is there a workaround for this?

Answer:

You can now search in private guides! :)

You can use the search "This Guide" feature in the LibGuides search box to search within a Private guide.

Private guides will still not be returned in search results for your whole site or through search engines, but you'll be able to search within that one guide while on the guide.
